About Us
No Ordinary House is a boutique interior and spacial planning studio designing residential building and interior transformation projects based in North London.
We understand that every home and every client is unique. Whether it's apartments or family homes, we approach each project with the same level of thought and consideration. We take the time to understand your needs, the architecture, and how the space will be used.
Our passion is creating great designs that function well. We believe each design should be personalised and promote well-being. We put a huge amount of thought into how clients usetheir spaces and how they will work every day. Houses become homes when they truly reflect those who live in them.
Well-being is at the heart of our design philosophy. We focus on creating designs that enhance lifestyles, considering how residents will live their daily lives. By following the principles of Biophilic design, our aim is to connect clients more closely with the natural environment through both direct and indirect features. We emphasise greenery, natural light, quality materials, spatial planning, and storage to enhance residents' well-being
Supporting Crisis with Every Project
Most of us are fortunate to have the joy and security of a home. However, for some, personal circumstances beyond their control can lead to emergency accommodation, sofa surfing, or even life on the streets.
At No Ordinary House, we believe in making a difference. That’s why, for every project we complete, we will make a donation to Crisis—a charity dedicated to helping those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Crisis provides practical, one-to-one support, helping people access benefits, healthcare, employment opportunities, and, most importantly, safe and affordable housing. They focus on those who struggle to access the essential services that should prevent or end homelessness.
Through our contributions, we hope to play a small part in relieving the pressures of homelessness and helping people rebuild their lives.

"I believe interiors should be both beautiful and uplifting—spaces that elevate your mood and bring joy every single day. Home should be a sanctuary, a place of comfort and retreat that feels uniquely yours. My aim is to create interiors that reflect my clients’ personalities and lifestyles, ensuring they have a space where they can truly relax and feel at home."

Some Kind Words
"From start to finish, Nichola listened, understood, pushed, and inspired us, ultimately creating a vibrant, functional, and stylish space that the whole family adores. We now have more colour, more texture, more storage, a larger entertaining area, and even a cozy new reading nook—and somehow, the space feels even bigger than before!
Working with Nichola was an absolute joy. She’s passionate, dedicated, incredibly knowledgeable, and has an impeccable eye for design."
